Tractor’s Corn Maze in Fall 2020

(The Triangle Trend) — Are you and your family fans of pumpkin patches, hayrides, and corn mazes during the highly anticipated Fall season? If so, then you’ve probably heard of Tractor’s Corn Maze—located on Bold Run Hill Road in Wake Forest.

Fall festivities are a favorite family-friendly outing in The Triangle, and COVID-19 gave us all a bit of a scare as to what fall would look like. But it’s thriving beyond what some of our summer selves would’ve expected.

Opened on September 22nd, 2018, Tractor’s Corn Maze is no exception. Of course, they’re enforcing social restrictions just like everywhere else. But thankfully, you can still get your fix of pumpkins and corn maze ventures.

Their background

Just in case you’re not at all familiar with Tractor’s, here’s a nice little synopsis of who they are and what they do. During a normal year, $8 admission includes their 8-acre corn maze, FREE pumpkins, a real pumpkin patch, and a hayride. All activities are included in the price. Meaning no separate prices for activities.

One of their primary attractions is their pumpkin patch, with plenty of options for your unique selection. Their exotic pumpkins include blue dolls, pink dolls, ghosts, warty goblins, and more. They even grow traditional orange jack-o-lantern pumpkins for carving. And like most other patches, they too offer free pumpkins while quantities last during day admissions only.

Their even more notable attraction is their 8 Acre Corn Maze—which they allow trips through during both day and nighttime admissions.

With the exception of 2020, they also offer :

  • Pumpkin Painting – Helps your pumpkin stay fresh longer and showcases your inner artist!
  • Corn Pit –  A pit full of corn!
  • Hay Ride – Visitors enjoy the hay bale art while riding on their hayride.
  • Corn Shooter – Visitors try their best aim to shoot their targets.
  • Corn Sheller – Each person shells an ear of corn with the hand-cranked corn sheller.

What activities are available for 2020?

Since this year they’ll only offer their Corn Maze and pumpkin patch, we’ll dive a bit deeper as to what to expect from those activities.

Their hours

2020 fall season hours go from October 3 to November 1. Saturdays and Sundays ONLY. They’re open from 10am – 5 pm on both Saturdays and Sundays for pumpkin picking.

Tractor’s Corn Maze AFTER DARK hours: Saturdays 7:30pm – 9:30pm only (Sept 19-Oct 24, 2020) $8 admission per person. Ages 2 and under Free. Last ticket sold at 8:30pm.

What to expect

For their corn maze AFTER DARK, bring a flashlight and wear close-toed shoes! Keep in mind that social distancing will be enforced to ensure a night of family fun! Night admissions are for the corn maze only and only cash will be accepted.

A free pumpkin will only be offered for DAY admissions.

Make sure to check their Facebook for weather updates and closures.

A few other things to note

All Teachers are allowed free admission as long as they have their school ID!

No field trips are being allowed for the Fall season 2020 due to COVID-19 restrictions.

No Party Packages are being offered for the fall 2020 season.

Another nice touch offered by Tractor’s is their tolerance policy for food and non-alcoholic beverages—which are all allowed! No alcohol is allowed on-site though, and understandably so. Reserve a time, and keep them in mind for next year!
