(The Triangle Trend) — If you’re an RDU local, you’ve probably heard of or visited The Factory in Durham. In essence, The Factory is a prime spot for family-friendly fun of all ages. All located within this sports and entertainment mall, there are opportunities for gift shopping, eating out, working out, and more.

The shopping center presents a very unique experience like no other in the Triangle, combining so many different sports and recreation businesses, entertainment businesses, retail shops, and restaurants, that you have to see it for yourself to believe it.

So You Boutique – A curated collection of unexpected and distinctive finds in a charming and personal boutique.

North Wake Baseball – The North Wake County Baseball Association is a not-for-profit organization that supports the development of potential baseball players of all ages.

Fireball Basketball Academy – Fire Ball Basketball Academy caters to athletes of all ages and experience levels with a variety of courses.

Tan Elegance – A premier salon in Wake Forest, featuring the best equipment as well as tanning consultants that will help you achieve the look you want.

The Hemp Source – Hemp-derived CBD products and hemp products. Their mission is to provide an alternative, natural way of healing without using industrialized pharmaceuticals.

Five Hole Sports – The source for Raleigh and Charlotte hockey equipment.

What restaurants are open?

Village Deli & Grill – Hearty, homemade foods in a rustic and cozy atmosphere. They offer a large selection of all-natural and organic products prepared daily.

Gonza Tacos & Tequila – Award-winning Colombian-Mexican cuisine, hand-crafted cocktails, an extensive variety of tequilas and regional spirits, and a carefully selected list of Latin wines and beers.

Slices & Ices – A local favorite for pizza, Italian ices, and so much more. They use the finest and freshest ingredients available. Their New York pizza has been reviewed as the “…best pizza on the North Fork of Long Island” by the New York Times.

What fitness centers are open?

O2 Fitness – O2 Fitness at The Factory features high-quality cardio machines, strength-training equipment, a large functional training turf area, separate group fitness, cycling studios, and upscale locker rooms. They are open 7am-7pm daily, and closed from 2:30pm-3:30pm each day for sanitizing.

Polar Ice House – An ice house with no public skating and offering pick-up hockey. They are currently enrolling limited levels of their LTS classes, youth hockey, and figure skating programs.

Capital Sportsplex – Captial Sportsplex offers operating camps, virtual learning camps, and private rentals. They host competitions, tournaments, matches, and more.

The Tumble Gym – They offer operating camps, virtual learning, and a gym class. The Tumble Gym is a gymnastics facility that gives kids of all ages the opportunity to experience gymnastics in a low-impact environment.

What entertainment venues are open?

Lonerider Brewing Company – Lonerider crafted each of its beers with the highest quality ingredients. As a result, Lonerider has a portfolio of award-winning beers, including medals from the Great American Beer Festival.

Epic Axe – An Axe Throwing & Social House offering an extensive selection of amazing wines and beers, as well as a bottle shop while you and your colleagues learn how to expertly throw hatchets from their epic staff.

Looking to rent a room?

Reservation of their gigantic millroom is just a few steps away.  In order to reserve a date, you need to submit a completed copy of the rental contract and contract terms sheet along with a deposit for half of your total rental fee. Expect social distancing and capacity limits to be enforced.
