Outdoor Events Around the NC Triangle You’ll Love

(The Triangle Trend) There’s never been a better time to be an ‘outdoorsy person’ with so many indoors events currently facing severely limited capacity. In North Carolina, warm weather lasting deep into the autumn season allows outdoor events to not only be a possibility, but an actually enjoyable one. And Triangle locals aren’t disappointing with the hosting of a variety of outdoor events occurring within the next couple of months. Hopefully, you’ll be able to have a more social fall than this year’s summer. As expected, even outdoor events have limited capacity, meaning you’ll need to reserve your spot for most of the events listed below.

Art in the Garden

Experience the good life through an outdoor guided watercolor class with artist and integrative leadership coach, Annelies M. Gentile of Conduit for Change. Wednesday Wine & Weeds

Get your hands dirty in the Pollinator Garden while sipping wine and other tasty beverages—provided by The Well Fed Community Garden! All ages are welcome but alcoholic beverages are only served to those who bring an I.D. proving they are 21 years of age or older. Attendance is limited to 8 people each session.

Guided Farm Tours (With Goat Cuddle-Time)

Currently, Hux Family Farm is only offering private tours for families and small groups to limit exposure. Farm tours are a great way for individuals, families, and persons of all ages to enjoy friendly animals, spend some quality time outdoors, and meet farmers who care about the environment and community.

Urban Garden Thursday Volunteer Day

Sweet Peas Urban Gardens is an urban farm at the forefront of innovative, climate-resilient modes of vertical indoor agriculture. If you enjoy gardening, are okay getting your hands a little dirty, and like learning about growing food, then try your hand at Well Fed Community Garden.

If you enjoy being outside, working in the soil, and learning about growing food in an urban setting, then you should volunteer at the Well Fed Community Garden. Volunteer from 9:30 AM – 12:00 PM and potluck from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM. Attendees are encouraged to bring something to share.
