$10 Membership with Fitness Connection

(The Triangle Trend) — At-home fitness has been quite the rage for a while now. It’s simple, cheap, and gets the job done. However, it’s not always as well-rounded, fun, or social as gyms. You’re fortunate if you have a treadmill at home; but an elliptical, barbells, bench, weights heavier than 10 lbs, and most other fitness equipment are a rarity.

Plus, is it just me, or is it harder to motivate yourself when there’s nobody else around? Not only are there kids to worry about, but there are so many distractions in general. There’s no shame in wanting a safe yet social workout, and preferably cheap too.  Fitness Connection makes all that and more possible.

For a $0 down payment, you can snag a 5-day free trial for a limited time at your local Fitness Connection.  After your trial, you can join the gym through a membership starting at just $10 per month. For more than 35 classes and tons of equipment, we’d say that’s an unbeatable value. Even when compared with online fitness programs, Fitness Connection’s gym is frequently cheaper.

To date, Fitness Connection has 11 locations in North Carolina, with a 12th coming soon in Fayetteville. In the Triangle area their locations are as follows:

COVID-19 Safety Guidelines

Fitness Connection’s gyms are so big that staying 6 feet apart from staff and other members is no challenging feat. As long as you’re willing to wait on a machine or two, you’ll be able to social distance throughout your entire visit.

As soon as you walk in your temperature will be checked by a Fitness Connection teammate using a contactless thermometer. You’ll then scan your key tag to ensure a contactless interaction and be allowed entry. Adhering to NC guidelines, you’ll be required to wear a face mask during your entire visit. You’ll be expected to stay at least 6 feet apart from others.

Take note of any temporary amenity closures, including the Kid’s club at many locations. Some areas of the gym have been repurposed and rearranged to ensure a distanced fitness experience.

Each gym has a designated single entry and exit point that you’ll be expected to enter and exit through. Daily, each location receives a thorough cleaning with an EPA hospital-approved disinfectant. The cleaning staff has been increased to ensure cleanings at multiple times during operation hours. You’ll also have access to paper towels and cleaning spray should you wish to disinfect a piece of equipment yourself.

Keep in mind that limited occupancy rules are being enforced, so you may want to plan your trips for the gym’s quietest hours. Showers and lockers are in limited use as well, so come prepared in case you’ll need to leave your belongings in the car or take a shower at home.

And if you’re not yet ready to return to the gym, check out Fitness Connection’s at-home fitness videos here!
